Building a compliance platform taught me the brutal asymmetry: my customers don't get credit for good intentions, they get audited on records. Now I'm wiring AI into workflows where a wrong answer is somebody's visa, and the vendors all say the same thing — trust the model. I can't ship 'trust the model' to an immigration officer. Then this: every AI action files a deterministic receipt of where it landed against what was intended, re-runnable by the auditor themselves. That's not a nice-to-have in my world — that's the difference between a compliance product and a liability. Whoever builds on the receipt layer first gets to say the sentence every competitor can't: audit us.

I want the receipt layer running under one named neXed workflow — you name it, I wire it inside seven days — and if instead you spend an hour trying to break the instrument on a visa case nobody outside your building has seen, the break is worth more to me than the signature, because a hardened instrument is what an underwriter eventually pays for.
