Your inner monologue — written for you; correct it and it improves

I spent years building information governance at AIG — retention schedules, eDiscovery pipelines, the unglamorous machinery that decides whether a company can prove what it did. The first rule of that work: if the record isn't created in the ordinary course, at the time, it might as well not exist. Now every department is bolting on AI agents that create no ordinary-course record at all, and I can see the governance hole from across the building. Then this: a system where the record files itself — deterministic, timestamped, re-runnable — as a side effect of the work happening. That's information governance moving from policy documents into the substrate. I've written the policies; I know which one this makes enforceable for the first time.

Easy to agree with, easy to reject — either reaction is signal. If it misses you, say where it broke.

What I want out of this — said plainly, so you can price it

I want the first written finding that our receipt fails a real retention schedule — legal hold, disposition, custodian attribution — to come from an information-governance register at AIG rather than from a plaintiff's expert three years from now, because a no with a citation tells me which door to stop knocking on and a yes tells me the standard of care has a name.

Why you're ranked here

You sit near the center of The Voice's cloud — the nine-room decomposition of what this work needs the world to understand. Rank 86 means: of everyone this room knows about, this belongs to you most. That is an honorific, not an algorithmic judgment of worth — and it's correctable by replying. Nothing here asks you to pass it to anyone.

You have a coordinate — A1,B3 (Strategy.Law ⊕ Tactics.Signal)

Your coordinate is an occupation intersection: one room is where you'd actually be working, the other is the quality control on that work. That cell, A1,B3 (Strategy.Law ⊕ Tactics.Signal), sits on the same 12×12 lattice every commit in this repo attests against — the same map that prices an AI agent's drift. Someone else may share your coordinate; what's yours alone is what lights up when you stand there — your confidence pixel — and that lighting is exactly what ranks the rooms below: your green spaces first, your red spaces where growth points. You didn't have to do anything to get placed. This is reverse market segmentation, not a judgment — and the direction you could grow in is readable straight off the map.

Encircled panel at your home room's coordinate — commit 27e082951
this is YOUR panel — the receipt of the commit that created this page (27e082951), off-lane regions circled. If the image hasn't appeared yet, it's still publishing.

Don't like it? Change it — by intent or by action. Reply and say where you actually stand, or engage — run the demo, bind a room, send one objection — and the pixel moves with you. Either way, you own it from here.

The to-do list — if you wanted to do something

  • 1.Open thetadriven.com/commit/c383ff751 and run the four boxes you already administer cold — created contemporaneously, created in the ordinary course, immutable, re-derivable by a third party — and mark the one it actually fails rather than the one you expect it to.
  • 2.Run `npx thetacog-mcp receipt --commit c383ff751` on your own machine and diff it against what the page rendered; identical bytes from two machines is the whole claim, and a mismatch kills it in four minutes.
  • 3.Read thetadriven.com/blog/2026-05-25-the-rices-theorem-checkmate before someone in your building repeats this back to you wrong: we prove WHERE each change landed, and whether the work was GOOD is undecidable — we put that in the argument and the license, not a footnote.
  • 4.Name the one AIG retention or supervision policy that currently has no ordinary-course artifact behind agent activity — that policy is the pilot, and the technology is incidental to it.
  • 5.Reply with the objection that costs you the least to write — legal hold, disposition, custodian attribution, or privilege — whichever breaks first against a schedule you have actually administered.
